Financial assistance and networking opportunities are just some of the benefits set to become available to companies across Wearside when Sunderland Business Network, the newest branch of Business Clubs North East Ltd (BCNE), launches in March.
BCNE has been operating since 1992, and is an umbrella organisation working to unite businesses and create networks. Business clubs already operate at locations throughout the region, including Derwentside, Durham, South Tyneside and Tees Valley.
Tony Spence, of BCNE, said: “The sole purpose of Business Clubs North East Ltd is to help and support small businesses in the area to develop and prosper. Sunderland has an exceptionally vibrant business community, and recent developments in the city mean that new companies are starting all the time.
“With Sunderland Business Network we hope to facilitate a vibrant business to business self-help network, providing opportunities for members to expand their network of contacts, develop skills, and access useful information and advice.”
Sunderland City Council, which offers a range of financial packages for businesses across Wearside, is giving full backing to the project and representatives will be on-hand at the upcoming launch to discuss their involvement in the project.
Janet Snaith, Head of Business and Investment at Sunderland City Council, said: “Sunderland Business Network will provide a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to mix, interact, and promote their products and services. It will give members the chance to share ideas, and learn from others who have had similar experiences.
“The launch of Sunderland Business Network offers many more benefits to provide support and advice. I would encourage Sunderland businesses to attend to find out more and how the Sunderland Business Network will make a real difference to local businesses.”
The launch of Sunderland Business Network will take place on Tuesday 18th March, 6 – 9pm, at Evolve Business Centre, Rainton Bridge Business Park. Businesses who wish to attend should call 0191 387 1924, or visit www.sunderlandbusinessnetwork.co.uk for more information.
